Interdisciplinary dimensions of the Arctic research: Bridging the Science
Арктика в ее географическом целостном контексте является регионом согласованного существования социально-экологических систем. Являясь одновременно населенным регионом и окружающей средой для многих уязвимых видов, Арктика нуждается в комплексных исследованиях для достижения целей устойчивого развития. На этой сессии мы обсудим различные дисциплинарные аспекты арктических исследований и то, как их можно успешно связать, чтобы обеспечить комплексное и целостное понимание региона.
The Arctic in its geographical holistic context is the basis for the coherent existence of socio-ecological systems. Being both the populated region and environment for many vulnerable species, the Arctic calls for the complex and integral research in order to reach sustainable development goals. At this session we will discuss different disciplinary dimensions of the Arctic research and how they can be bridged to ensure the complex and holistic understanding of the region.
