В рамках серии круглых столов "Арктика — территория слияния контекстов", мы обсудим кросс-контекстность Арктики, как хрупкой экосистемы, места обитания разных видов и проживания народов в балансе социо-экологических систем, а также наследие знаний об Арктике и механизмы их передачи для устойчивого развития территории. Темы круглых столов перекликаются с Программой Председательства Российской Федерации в Арктическом Совете и будут интересны для широкого круга слушателей.

As part of the series of roundtables entitled "Arctic — The Territory of Merging Contexts", we will discuss the cross-contextuality of the Arctic as a fragile ecosystem, the habitat of different species and peoples in the balance of socio-ecological systems, and the heritage of knowledge about the Arctic and mechanisms for their transfer for sustainable development of the territory. The topics of the roundtables overlap with the Program of the Russian Federation Chairmanship in the Arctic Council and will be of interest to a wide range of audiences.

Как показал опыт больших международных программ прошлых лет, таких как Международный полярный год (1882−1883, 1932−1933, 1957−1958, 2007−2008, и предстоящий 2032−2033), передача, преемственность и ответственное применение знаний играют ключевую роль в комплексном и устойчивом развитии человечества и мира. Объединенное научное знание и традиционные знания коренных народов Арктики о процессах, происходящих в окружающей среде, позволяют видеть целостную картину мира, а институты и механизмы их передачи, совместного использования обсуждаются на различных площадках уже много лет.

As the experience of past major international programs such as the International Polar Year (1882−1883, 1932−1933, 1957−1958, 2007−2008, and the upcoming 2032−2033) has shown, knowledge transfer, continuity and responsible application are key to comprehensive and sustainable development of humanity and the world. The combined scientific knowledge and the traditional knowledge of Arctic indigenous peoples about environmental processes allow us to see a holistic picture of the world, and institutions and mechanisms for their transfer and sharing have been discussed in various venues for many years.
